weirdly, tiger & bunny has a visual novel that I've never heard anyone mention.

As it happens, the Tiger & Bunny PSP games are already on our request list! I’ll make a note that Hero’s Day has been requested again :D

hi there!! i finished playing thru all the endings for Spiraling Trap - i cant thank you guys enough for translating it!! :D!! just one question: what does L say at the end of the True Ending in English? when i repeat the line orally into Google TL it reads it as あなたにゆきに感謝します。& translates this to "Thank you Yuki." which doesn't quite make sense to me? its also 133/134 in the sound test to make it easier to find! thank you in advance/sorry if this is a bother!

Thank you for your support! We’re glad you enjoyed it :D

He says “あなたの勇気(ゆうき)に感謝します” which means “I am grateful for your courage.”

Thanks for all the games you guys have translated, It's neat to play em after not being able to for so long since I don't have the free time to learn Japanese currently, btw I recently found out Lovely Complex had a game on the PS2, is there any possibility of translating it?

Thank you for your support! We consider all the requests we get, but the main factor in determining which games get worked on is the availability of interested translators. I’ll add Lovely Complex to our request list!

Thank you so much for translating the detective Conan games! I was disappointed there were no English games out but then I found your translations and now I'm super excited to play. Just curious, do you have any other upcoming Conan games on your translation list?

Hey! You might be getting us confused with someone else, as we haven’t translated any Detective Conan games. (You can find a list of our past and current projects on our website ^^)

That said, the series is on our radar and has been requested a few times (especially the DS games). We do have some translators who are interested, but we don’t have any concrete plans for what our next project will be.

Speaking of Detective Conan, you may have already heard, but a patch for Daiei Teikoku no Isan/Legacy of the British Empire for PS2 (by Kerneloops/SilverBullet) is due to come out at the end of this week!

I'm wondering how hard it'd be to patch the Dr. Slump DS game or Higurashi DS games with existing english translations? Not necessarily requesting y'all do them (though I mean, be my guest), but mostly just wanting your insights into the difficulty level of such a project. I'm a video game patching hobbyist so I've been thinking about it.

From our hacker, Illidan, “It highly depends on the game, there are plenty of tools for the DS platform so it isn’t one of the harder ones to work with, but it’s not really possible to answer the question without checking the game. It might range from very easy to very difficult.”

This page has some information on common file formats and tools you can use to extract them (though it’s not an exhaustive list). If the game has custom formats or compression, then it can be a lot more work to reverse engineer them.

You may also be interested in this recent video from Jonko (leader of the Haroohie Translation Club), in which he talks about how to get started hacking a game using Dragon Ball Kai as an example.

AGT Team September - October Progress Report

Grab your Trick-or-Treat spoils and let’s tuck into another progress update!

[NDS] Mushishi: Amefuru Sato

image

The first proofreading pass of Mushishi is now complete! We’ve discovered four more bugs which we’re looking into, and then we plan to give the translation a final read through before packaging it up ready for release.

[NDS] Death Note: Successors to L

image

Translator creeper has been creeping away at the remaining text, which now stands at 58% translated! We still have some work to do getting the English text into the game and looking good, but if L is to be believed, all this extra seasonal sugar can only help our brains, right…?

[PS2] Fullmetal Alchemist 3: Kami o Tsugu Shoujo

image

Quick update on “Fullmetal Alchemist 3: Kami o tsugu shoujo” by Iredc. Things keep moving forward after fixing some issues. For starters, we now have a translated title screen, and Phantom is checking the in-game new graphics, to make sure everything looks fine. Also, they fixed a problem with a few translated lines that were not showing.

The text translation is almost done by now, with the exception of some optional conversations, as well as a tutorial, which Illidan needs to dump first. Still working as well on a way to hard-sub the anime videos.

We hope this progress update, even short as it is, will be a nice post-Halloween surprise. Don’t forget to check from time to time, for more news about FMA 3!

Any possibility of translating the Busou Renkin game? Found out that it exists and apparently takes place after the show, it's apparently a horde fighter and seems interesting, though it doesn't seem to have had any attempts at translation by anyone.

Welcome To Papillon Park is firmly on our request list! I’ll add a note to say it’s been requested again :)

will death note successor to L be available to play on a mobile emulator?

Yes! As with all of our DS game patches, you will be able to play the translation on PC and mobile emulators, as well as on hardware. There will also be a Setup Guide with the patch on our new website containing detailed instructions :)

Damn, looks like you guys are slowly running out of projects, then here i have a few suggestions, How about tackling the 2012 and 2013 Version of Inazuma Eleven for Nintendo Wii?, No worries about translating the Voice Acting, if would suffice if you just Translate the Text of the Game, in fact, i enjoy the Japanese Voices, (Certified Subs Watcher speaking~)

Haha, we currently have more translation requests than would be possible to make in a lifetime regrettably, but we’ll do our best to get to as many as we can!

A beta patch for Inazuma Eleven GO Strikers 2013 was released last year. To download it, you’ll need to join the IEGS13 Discord server and go to the links in the #english-patch channel.

There is a video on YouTube from someone claiming to have made a texture translation pack for the 2012 version, but it doesn’t seem to be available anywhere. I’ll add it to the request list :)

Hello. I have drafted up a couple questions about FMA3 PS2 translation project. Because i am not part of the AGTTeam i have decided i'm afraid this. There is a licensed J-POP track used in certain parts of the game. It's named Kanashimi no Kiss performed by Kitade Nana. Would you like hardcoded subs for that song? i can provide an .xdelta patch to convert the full version (XA08.MIB) to the AI instrumental cause i can do vocal removal hacks btw.

Thank you for your offer! We plan to subtitle all of the videos in the game, so think it would be best to make them all ourselves for consistency. We appreciate you thinking of us, though! :D
